Micro-Epsilon closed 2025 with $48M in chromatic confocal sensor revenue and a 22.6% global share, the largest single position in a $212M industrial metrology niche that sits between high-volume laser triangulation and laboratory confocal microscopy. STIL, now under the Marposs umbrella after the 2019 acquisition, held 15.6% at year-end, while Keyence commanded 13.2%. Europe accounted for 42% of installed base by our count, a function of automotive tier-one concentration in Germany and northern Italy where thickness measurement of multi-layer paint and battery separator films became production-floor requirements. The top-three combined share of 51% understates concentration: the next seven vendors split 23%, and the tail is component suppliers, not system integrators.
